Really, it should be Baumzinger news, but would you change your bookmarks for that?

Entertainment...priceless
These are leftovers from the pizza place. They didn't quite fit the other post, but I thought they satisfied the requirement that I give you something to smile at on Fridays.

Pop THAT bubble, Mom!
POP!
Again, kiddo, you are loved.

Stuck
Eamon is getting into things more and more. I tried to keep him out of a cabinet for my own sanity by putting the stool in front of it. So he crawled under the stool. Didn't get into the cabinet that way...

I will note that he got out by himself and went straight back to demolishing the IZZEs. Cooking with this kid around is getting challenging.

No picture
This entry gets no picture, because I forgot to take it, and the evidence is already in the wash.
What evidence, you ask?
You know the adorable little boy, the one whose picture is up here all the time? The one who is suddenly feeling so much better, who is not (knocking on wood) teething for the moment, whose sinus infection is mostly gone (see: more wood, knocking on)? Yeah, that one. The one who greeted me so very happily at daycare, who enthusiastically ate his white cheddar pasta and greek yogurt, smiling and laughing at me as we shared dinner? Yeah, him.
I think he's smarter than he looks. Because you know what that loving child did the minute I freed him from his high chair? He gave me a BIG full-body hug.
Remember the white cheddar pasta... and greek yogurt? Did I mention I was wearing a black shirt?
Yeah.
Mom. This entry is for you. I know, I know. It wasn't Kool-Aid... but it's coming.
In the meantime... Wanna hug?
(before anyone takes this wrong - in no manner do I resent that hug - I just know that I deserve it, and not just in the good way... and perhaps E is learning from the cats.. Donut LOVES Ray's black pants)
(and for the rest of you... the cute baby will return tomorrow... after we've all bathed)

Carrying On
The fight for the bill is a tradition in my family. It seems to be making it to the next generation as well.

Dad wins!
For a kid who doesn't eat much, he's pretty adventurous - that's a "lowrider" from Proto's all over his chin. A pizza involving pineapple, feta, cilantro, and cayenne. He loved it, except for the cilantro.

Sacrifice

This picture is exactly one week old. I had to pick E up early from daycare because he was a little sick, just enough that we took him in to the doctor. Yeah, a bad cold. But at least we knew, at five on a Friday.
In the hurry out the door, we forgot E's hat. So Ray made the sacrifice. I'm tempted to make this a permanent clothing assignment.
(When I write this, I keep feeling like I'm setting it up so that if Eamon reads this in twenty years, he can tell his therapist we cared. We do. Oh, honey, we do.)

The breakfast committee
It was an all-boy breakfast this morning, except for Gwennie and her curls, but she didn't make the picture.

That's a table full of personality!
[Edited to add: the cameraphone doesn't do well against the brightness in there... Eamon is third from the left in the bright blue shirt. This table o' babies cracks me up anytime I happen to hit mealtime. Now.. imagine it later today, when they strip all the kids down for spaghetti lunch!]

Friday Cute-Bathing Beauty
There have been a lot of snow clothes in our lives lately (windshield..frozen..from inside...). And thus a lot of snow clothes in the posts. But just for Heather, I'm pulling out some old pics (from the Chicago trip). I know you need your Friday cute.
Hotel sinks can make decent bathtubs, if you're little enough.
Now go have a good weekend. Remember, I'm watching you...with suspicion.

Victory for Grandparents
Mom, Dad, the Grunzingers beat you to it.

He LOVES it. And we just can't wait until he can really run it. Oh, wait, yes we can.

Last of the Old...
It's a sign of how many pics I have and how busy it has been - but not of how pleased I am - that I haven't mentioned this.
Our microwave died Friday morning. It made a sad fan sound, an electrical stink, and opted out of making Eamon's breakfast. Thus, I finally have my last black appliance (not avocado, but thanks for the suggestions). It doesn't require a degree in engineering, which those of you who stay over should appreciate- just the poke of a button! Yay!

Mee-mo-te?
Caught Green Handed
I won't deny that this makes me laugh because, well, it's broccoli, Dad. And he loves it. Sorry.Eamon discovered food this week. He discovered how to keep it in his mouth long enough to eat it. He eats more than he wears (although... he still wears a lot). And now, it's like he thinks we might try to starve him, with him bouncing up and down in his chair and oohing when we pull out something he wants. He still loves yogurt, but also noodles, and broccoli, and spinach, and anything else that can convey a sauce or dressing to his mouth. Marinara, dijon vinaigrette, barbeque, it's all good. He sucks on broccoli full of marinara like it's a sucker. He spent half an hour eating dinner two nights ago. He's getting an adorable little baby pooch. Where did this kid come from?
(Oh, and I think his eyes are turning brown. Ray still argues for hazel...)
(And chemist-types, if you can come up with a better adhesive for that suction cup bowl, you will own the world. Or at least the todders.)
(No superglue, though.. needs to come off. I see you coming.)

Friends
I need to get the other pics from last weekend off of my camera, but this one was on my phone, so it's quicker.
We took Steven out for his birthday Friday night, and Eamon found a new friend. She didn't speak any English, but that did not seem to stop them... their major interaction was reinventing headbanging, but they were very amused.

Easy
Let's see...is this attempt to pacify me? I've been in this cart for an hour, and you give me the cups from samples you ate? Do you think it's that easy? Do you see this can I already rejected?
Ohh, look, they make noise! Okay, it totally is that easy... This kid is having a hectic week. Teething continues, and possibly a growth spurt? We were both sick, but made it up to see the Steamboat clan (pics forthcoming, I swear). Soon the Grunzinger clan is invading. Lots of love for the little boy.
