Washington- First Plane Trip

Waiting for the plane.

First flight. Looked like this the whole time.

Entertaining himself waaaay too late at night in Spokane airport.

Enjoying his first hotel stay at Benny's Colville Inn, in Colville, WA..

Cousins and grandma.

Second and third plane flights on the way home.

Probably the only time E has ever been asleep coming off of the plane.

Our trip to Washington was for a sad reason - we lost Ray's grandmother, an amazing woman who really enjoyed life. I am glad, though, that we got all of Ray's family in one place and they got to see the boys, and the boys got to meet their new cousin a week earlier than planned - since the planned meeting was cancelled due to illness. It was a beautiful send off and a good honor to a life well lived. In a week to be thankful, I am thankful for the time we got.

Iphoneography August

There was a lot more going on in August, but here are a few quick looks at what hadn't made the blog yet.

E's favorite new form of interval training:

It's a long slow walk around the lake this way, and a long fast walk if I push the stroller and E is free to run.

I thought this was the cutest gift from Ray's work. Already featured it on T here.

And: I finally managed to drag Ray to a baseball game so I could get a good hot dog (not so much on the beer, Coors field has become very disappointing in their selection). T's first baseball game:

E LOVED the game and was actually pretty focused on it, although his favorite part was probably Dinger. We celebrated the Rockies' win over the Marlins at Breckenridge Brewery. E went for his new favorite menu item (the kids' menu is for coloring!)

How You Doin'?

I've been told I have no chance with the tough guy image. I'm back to living off of my cuteness.

So, how you doin'?

(For the baby book - T started smiling at the beginning of September, but unlike E, who would smile more if you smiled at him, T will smile back at you, but more often smiles spontaneously, like he's got some sort of private joke going on.)

How many licks?

People, can you believe this preppy outfit Mom put me in? Seriously.
Oh well.. what to do now?

Hmmm, that sucker that brother has is pretty appealing. Hey, E, can I get a lick?
Puh-lease?

What? Just a hug?

Drat, my cuteness is foiled again. I must toughen up my image.

People, send treats. And motorcycle leather.

Saturday Morning

Can you people come up with a better way to wake up on a Saturday morning?

Yeah, me either.

(Ray would probably argue that it would help if the blond one would learn to make coffee, though.)

Hey!

Hey!

She posted all that wedding stuff and didn't discuss the cutest man at the wedding.

Yeah, that's right, me!
Sure, my brother was handsome and all, but how can you say no to this?

Yup, that's what I thought. Okay, carry on...

Bells and Bond

I hinted at this, and here it is.

A good friend of ours asked E and I to be in her wedding. I try not to put pics of others on here (internet privacy and all that), so I'm not going to put too much of her wedding on here per se, but hopefully she'll forgive this next picture, because she is such a beautiful bride.

4 weeks

Tighe is 4 weeks old today.

What, 4 weeks?

Whee, 4 weeks!

In honor of the occasion, we tried to get the standard blue chair pictures.

Do you guys have any idea what's going on here? Heh, monkey? Dino?

Oy, monkey, this is torture!
Torture, I say!

Yeah, so he wasn't into doing it alone...

... but pretty content to share the chair.

Here's an E for reference. (Not surprisingly, he wanted to be involved.)

T is doing well. He's eating like crazy, sleeping decently (mostly), and developing a pretty good set of lungs to express his displeasure. And the 3 mo. polo onesie fits way better than it did two weeks ago.

I think we'll keep him.

(For reference: E at 5.5 weeks in the same chair but with the back pillow on:
)
