Really, it should be Baumzinger news, but would you change your bookmarks for that?

At the old campground...
Last weekend was Colorado Whitewater's Training Camp. I wasn't sure how camping was going to work. We were prepared. We bought the world's largest tent. (Okay, not actually, but it's pretty big. And hey, we got a great deal, because we got it on sale a while ago and now the price went UP!)

Let's zoom in - we more than doubled the size of our tent?

For?

Oh yeah, him.

Our little man. (And the pack and play, which was nice in terms of containment, but not so good in the cold, what with all that open air underneath). Now researching/craigslist searching for alternative travelbeds. We'll see.
But, regardless, I have to say, he was a champ (fingers crossed it stays this way). Slept better the first night than he has at home (Ray credits the river). We had a a great nap while Ray was out kayaking (his weekend, this time -perhaps video of that, later). Those are the pictures above. The second night, it was COLD. Really. Cold. So he ended up curled up with me and still slept pretty well (I woke up every thirty minutes anyway, but whatever). Of course, this was followed by a super-hot day, and I learned that one person cannot break down the mega tent and keep the infant happy in the heat. Fortunately, friends took Eamon for a bit while I got everything packed. (Eamon was not lacking willing babysitters among the paddler ladies.)

FIRST ROLLOVER! Well, that's what we're calling it. He has made it to his side with regularity in his crib, but never fully to his back while we were watching. Nice of him to do it while I had the camera on him, on top of it.

Eamon: HELP! The bags, they are attacking!
UPDATED TO ADD:
While I was posting, Eamon and Ray were checking out Craigslist for his bed.
And then, this....
Darn. We're in trouble.

In which I pander to your need for cute.
It's been a busy week - I had a career fair and the first week of the kayak rodeo on my plate (aka, I spent Monday letting middleschoolers play with gloves and then stuffing prizes into sacks). There's been some stress on the Grunzinger side of the family - all appears to be well now, and for that I am very happy.
May that lighten the end of your week. :)
Eamon took his first dive off of a changing table. In an Irish bar. How appropriate... He's fine, for which I am also happy. Hard head, just like his oldest cousin (who took a dive on my watch long ago, leaving me much less stressed by this one than Ray was). Anyway, lots going on, nothing which would really amuse you all (don't even have a bruise worth taking a picture of).
However, I know what you really want to see anyway. So, skip the text. Here are some cute pics. I have an obsession with OshKosh overalls, but these are still a bit big.
So's his smile.

Technical Difficulties...
.... appear to be resolved. Thanks to everyone for responding, and while Laura claims first response and the Eamon slobbers, he promises plenty to go around. :)
my pretties... I need sustenance. |
If you missed the earlier directions: Things are changed, so if you want to get to the larger album, if you click on the picture to get into Picasa and look to the right for the album name, you should be able to get the album.

Happy Mother's Day!
This is a quick post before we head off to Mass and tree trimming at Jimmy's, but just wanted to wish all of you out there a happy Mother's Day.
But look how happy he is! At least it's not red, yet.
Have a good day!
With a set of pictures my mother should appreciate, both for the outfit and the denouement.
(Sorry, Laura, I'm sure I'll have Vikings or Twins later...)

100!
Eamon is 100 days old today!!
We've come a long way and Eamon seems like a whole different person from the tiny little mob boss that we brought home.

Hello all. Eamon here. Mom's trying to get work done (whatever) and she's behind in sharing my wonderfulness with you all, so I'm just going to have to do it myself.

So, a couple of weekends ago when Dad was off playing in the really expensive video game (he calls it a "sim"?), Mom and I headed to Pearl Street in Boulder to check out the sites. Join me on my tour...
Pearl Street is an open air mall full of what Mom calls "buskers"... you might have other words, but some of the music was good. And, well, it's not boring. Here are some buskers with a some sort of elephant in a tube - Mom called it a digeridoo.
And you can even find buskers watching buskers. It's that full of entertainment. Is this sort of behavior a requirement for a Boulder county native? I do hope not. I'm not sure wings are my look.
Beyond the peoplewatching, Mom says April is the time for tulips in Boulder, and we sure did see some.
Yes, here is one example, the size of my head!
And these, quite attractive.
(Please ignore the overenthusiastic woman with the camera, people.. oh wait, you're all doing the same thing.. perhaps it's good to be in this town after all...)
Okay, there are your pretty pictures. Enjoy my wonderfulness. I'm quite spent. Time for a nap..
Eamon
