Workers

We have been workers. Workers working on work. Ask E.

Ray just completed yet another project - the guest room is now also my laundry room (it's mostly completed- need to figure out what we want in the way of shelving and "doors"). Anyway, it looks more like this now:

well, minus the cleaning man and add in two appliances.

I've been begging for this one for a while - the old laundry room was in a small "mud room" in the passageway to the garage. I'm not a fan of spending my weekends in a tiny room, nor of dropping the clean laundry on the highest-traffic floor in the house). However, I'm amazed with all the things Ray had to figure out for this project - outside connections and 240V wiring (eek!) being the two biggies. You might also be able to see in the top pic that Ray managed to pull a sheet of drywall so perfectly that he left most of the edging paper on the adjoining sheet. Bam bam is impressed. My sole achievement here is finally committing to replastering an entire wall - I just can't do orange peel but I'm pretty happy with my knockdown!

Either way, the guest room is pretty much back in order. Shelves, maybe some more paint, and some sort of "doors" still to come.

Life is good, and slowing down a little bit. For the next month or so anyway. :)
