Daw Doll

Continuing in the "more current events" theme: Eamon has been asking for a doll for a while now. When Ray was out flying last week, I sent him a link to blabla dolls. Specifically, to Otto. When Ray got back, we asked E if this was the doll he wanted. Kiddo lost his mind. Ray showed him the whole doll page at blabla and E picked Otto out of the lineup.

So.. I started calling around.

Nobody had Otto. But they did have Johnny, Otto's legless friend. So I put both up on my computer screen and asked E which one he wanted. E instantly went for Johnny, saying that Otto was "too heavy" (or "doo heaby", if you prefer the phoenetic). So I went off to work and Ray took E into Boulder.
THAT ONE!
TAG OFF PLEASE!
(Seriously! Apparently the saleslady reassured him and Ray that she could ring it up without the tag, but E HATES tags on his friends.)

His friend, by the way, is now Daw Doll. Ray and I tried to get E to name him (Axl? Dylan? Sid? Fred? no. no. no. no.) Doll Doll. Which is phoenetically "daw daw", so I provided the spelling.
Whatever, Mom. We're tough crazy rebels.

They both also happen to be very soft and snuggly.

Behind the Times

People, I feel guilty, so very guilty, about the glory that has been hiding out on my phone and not here. It has been a pretty awesome month and I just downloaded all of my photos (still need to steal Ray's phone). So yes, there will be some more posts coming.

However, I'm also at the point of "so behind I don't know where to start", so I'm going backwards and starting with this last week. We had a barbeque with a few friends last weekend to try out the new patio (the consensus, I think, is that the patio will do quite well), but it got more exciting than planned.

I leave it to you to decide which of these we're referring to, but Ray's response was "Today I am a man."

Maybe this helps. Eamon wanted to look like Dad, so he has a bandaid as well.

(If you're still not sure about the police report, call Ray. He is doing quite well but his nose is quite strained from balancing four cases of Pabst.... (Seriously, how does one run out of a liquor store with four cases?))

Belated, and Quiet

First, and I apologize for this not getting out in the appropriate time frame:

Happy Mother's Day!

For mother's day the daycare gave me a mohawk and a flower...Ray took me out for our anniversary and then we went and celebrated Alli's birthday, and I got celebrated a bit Saturday morning before Ray had to leave for work and I went down to see my parents. I hope all you mothers out there got a little peace!

On that note... things have been quiet here because I'm enjoying my week of peace. I left CU last Friday, and I start pretty full time at Front Range on Monday. This week I'm doing my darndest to avoid the computer and anything that even faintly resembles work. So: I apologize for the silence, we're all still alive and well with more stories to tell and I'll tell them soon, but I'm going to go take a bubble bath or something right now. You should, too. :)

Whee!

E votes everyone needs a hammock swing. (Or a hammock stored in swing configuration.... he's not picky.)

Oh, this happened...the big boy bed

At the time it seemed so huge, but apparently it went so seamlessly that I forgot to download the pictures and get them up here. Anyway, a couple of months ago, we did this:

How does this work?
Plenty of time to figure it out while mom and dad get the bed back together.
I'll take it!
Now I have to learn to sleep like Dad.

Here's hoping we can spend many more embarrassing our friends, family, and E! Love you, Squishy.

I'm glad someone is enjoying our windy spring.'
