Friday Fairy

For your Friday Cute viewing pleasure, the calmest, least blurry moment from the last visit to the Lessingers.
Accio milk! Accio chocolate! ... Perhaps I need more focus...Alohomora! No? Darn.

Oh Hai!

HI!
Hello, you wonderful people! You keep coming here to see my craziness. I give you hug.
I want you to see my adorableness, and why my parents need to buy me a LoveSac, or at least let me play on them at the mall more.

See that cute? How could you resist it? How do they resist it? They continue to thwart my wishes....

The Cave, More "Up"

Eamon now has a boy cave.

This also gives us a high table that, in theory (once I get the cats to stay off of it) he can't reach.
However, even in this picture, Eamon is evaluating the problem with this theory. A few days later he was playing happily, and then it got quiet.
I knew I'd left an obvious path open. I was wondering how long it would take him to notice. About a week, apparently.
That table? Not going to be safe for long. This time he was distracted from it because he relocated his dowel from the window (which he is digging for here). Sigh.

Did I mention he's a climber?

Up

Did I mention that Eamon is a climber? Someone kindly offered to send us one of these little play tables. I turned the offer down due to space constraints and the obnoxious nature of these (battery-operated, motion sensor included) tables.
Good thing I did. I never thought about this issue. This was BEFORE he could walk or even really stand...

The Man in the Black/Red/Brown Hat

Okay, so he's not the Man in the Yellow Hat. More on the Curious Eamon side, really. No hat is safe, kiddo will try to put in on himself, then on you (often upside down).
The AdamAnt gene runs strong in the family, Grandpa B.

His favorite - Ray's waterproof cowboy hat. It's been through a lot of this already.
Because Heather will ask, that's just a box in the background, no such useful contents, sorry. Because I feel the need to say it, daddy dressed him in the first pictures. It's half pj's in the first ones and all pj's in the last. That's how we roll.

A Crawl in the Park

So here we are at the drilling site...
The gas will come up into this pipeline right here.
The gas collection tanks are stored under the walkway.
Now we just wait for the money to roll in....

I'm way behind on the posting... These are from Ray's parents' visit. Captions by Ray. Just too cute.

One leg at a time... sometimes

Another "in case you're wondering how things go here"... the easy way to dress a mobile Eamon, to avoid what I call "mermaid syndrome" (my poor one-legged child).

Ta Da!

Mail Drop

He does it all with such a sense of purpose.

(From a couple of weeks ago, the 48-hour period in which this kid had a pacifier in his mouth and an oddly high number of pictures taken...)

Enthralled

Because I know some people out there could use a little extra cute this week.
Here's a preview of 10 years from now. Except then he probably won't be this enthralled by Elmo (literally watched an entire hour of Sesame Street, mostly in this exact position). He probably will still use the wiimote as a pillow, though...

Rain rain go away...

But in the meantime, at least I have a handsome slicker.

Stepping Out

I'm going to start by apologizing for the quality below. I'd edit, but it'll be next week before you see it, so... please forgive. I'll also note the context of this video- I make videos and take pictures for Ray when he's out of town, so this was originally last night's video, hence the end.

And I'd just fed E soup for dinner, so he's minus his broccoli and cheddar covered clothes. But still wearing socks and shoes, because, well, that's how we roll!

But I do think you'll enjoy, despite all those excuses. Those of you not related by blood can turn up the volume and listen to the kitty-drunk kiddo giggle.

Those of you related to us by blood will enjoy because we are in TROUBLE. This just went from a rare occurrence, to something that happened three times yesterday, to something that is happening pretty frequently. We're about to lose the last bastion of mobility. I'm very glad Ray saw the first steps, saw his first tries. We're about to forget what "try" looked like....
EEK.

The Good, the Bad, and the ... Cute.

These two have had a rough week.
But obviously, it's nothing they can't take, at least not when they've got their sunglasses (and an utterly random pacifier- if you look closely, you'll see that he's chewing it like a cigar, not sucking).

Happy Birthday, handsome. I hope your birthday makes up for the rest of this week! You deserve a good one.

The Pit

For those of you who wonder how Eamon feels about daycare... note that not only do they have cars and motorcycles and such (which he should be enjoying today (where is my 70 degrees, Weather Channel???)), but they have this:
A pit. Full of balls. AND big kids. So, his two favorite things.
I came to pick him up a couple of weeks ago, and he crawled up, got his hug, and then left me to go back to playing with the balls.
No, Matteo is not about to clock Eamon, although Eamon just came very close to clocking Matteo. Matteo is returning the ball that Eamon stuck in that little mailbox back to the pit.

So yeah, Eamon thinks his job rocks.

Crafty

Ray's brother Steve is crafty. He has made a ball run and and AT-AT rocker for Eamon, both of which have been seen here before. And now, a table.
Perfectly Eamon sized. He loves it.
He doesn't quite trust the stools yet.
But the table has found a whole new use already.
Steve, you've been hacked. :) Thanks for the awesome table! We'll paint it soon, we promise. We have the low-VOC Whey-based urethane-substitute all ready (You wish I was kidding. I'm not). And Eamon promises to take gooood care of it...really.

Karma

When my friend Liz had her first child, I felt obligated to get her some CU merchandise.

This was not necessarily nice of me. Liz went to CSU, our rival.

So I have been waiting for Liz or Heather (who also chose the Division II school) to send some CSU merchandise for Eamon.

But it wasn't them. An innocent bystander sent this.
Yup, that's pretty much a CSU Ram. Thanks, Kristen, for the very soft and fuzzy sweatshirt. Thanks to Ray's parents for the delivery. Heather and Liz, eat your hearts out.

Happy Easter 2010!

We didn't get the cute pics this morning. Eamon slept through the egg hunt last weekend (next year, people!).

So, courtesy of the Easter basket from my mom- our wishes for a happy Easter.

Chipmunk peeps everywhere, rejoice!

We interrupt the regular posting schedule...

... to share this.
If we'd known he was going to perform for the camera, perhaps Ray would have had it right side up. As it is, I'm pretty amazed that we got that first instance on video.

Eamon woke up this morning and decided that standing was acceptable, when it was only accidental yesterday. Now, steps are accidental. How long will that last?

Cruisin'

When you're this cool, the sun shines 24/7.
If I were a different person, I'd make cracks about picking up the ladies here. But that little girl? She loves Eamon. Like a baby doll, that is. She tries to take care of him all day. I just love her curls.
