Mee-mo-te?

It's one of his favorite toys. The scary thing is that he knows to point it at the TV. And he doesn't see TV watching five days of the week...

Men at Work

I mentioned that we rearranged the couches last weekend. This included Ray cleaning all the floors (yay!) Eamon is usually in the Bjorn when Ray vacuums, so the minute Ray started cleaning, Eamon was at his feet, arms up to be picked up.
He likes to "help".
And, of course, one should follow hard work with a mango break (note half the couch in the background).

13 months.. and a couple of days

I'm a little behind here, but Eamon hit 13 months on Saturday.

The changes are slower, less obvious, until  they smack us in the face like they did yesterday. He gets whatever we're eating, although he'd far prefer that this involve yogurt or noodles. He's constantly narrating his world, although we still don't understand most of it. He patently understands us, although he prefers to ignore that fact when convenient. He uses signs, although I've yet to see one really make sense ("milk" when he is drinking, and then sometimes at random.. "where", at random... "all done", sometimes, when we don't get him out of the highchair fast enough). "Uh-oh" remains his main discernible word.

He has learned to throw this week (as in, windup like a quarterback, and CHUCK), and is practicing like crazy. Now he needs to learn that spaghetti and hard blocks are not ideal practice tools. He is still cruising, but a couple of short bouts of standing have let us know we're on notice again, and let him know that the floor is still hard. Stairs are in no manner an obstacle. We were redoing our sofas today, and he was happily crawling off and on the bases while we worked.

Still six teeth. Fang and companion threatened earlier this week... I'm sure they'll be back.
Whatever, Dad, I can get down from here just fine... and I'm outta here!
